Cecil Road 20mph zone campaign

Three surveys by South Gloucestershire Council in 2008 and 2009 showed that the 20mph zone was widely flouted. Around 1 in 7 vehicles were found to be exceeding 27mph and an astonishing 72% of vehicles were found to be over the 20mph limit. South Gloucestershire Council refused to take this problem seriously and only painted some lines on the road - which another survey found had no effect. The Council are still refusing to do anything, stating that there have not been any accidents.

We think the Council should take this seriously before there are any accidents. If you agree that the Council should be taking this seriously, please fill-in the form below. Thank-you.
