This petition is now closed. Thank-you to all those who signed up. In total, 21 people signed our online petition expressing their opposition to the cut in the service. At the Full Council meeting of South Gloucestershire Council on 24th March we presented the petition to the leading councillor in charge of transport and asked that he pass-on the petition and relay residents' concerns to First Bus.
Bus operator First Bus has announced that it is cutting the number of buses it runs on the Number 6 route. Currently, the service on Mondays to Fridays is operated every 30 minutes but from 4th April 2010, First Bus intend to reduce this to once an hour between Longwell Green and Kingswood.
After the problems First Bus have caused by removing the Number 4 service which provided a direct link to Frenchay hospital, First Bus are now cutting the service even more.
